Music Therapy is a treatment modality that will not only allow your child to enjoy their session but achieve their goals across multiple areas of need.

Why does Music Therapy work?
  • Music is rewarding:
    • Children often don’t realize that they are still “working” and getting closer to their therapeutic goals.
  • Music is personalized:
    • Music is adapted at the moment to whatever the child’s specific needs are and to help them be as successful as possible at the moment.
  • Music activates the brain:
    • Music elicits activity all over the brain and can help trigger speech and other skills by helping different areas needed to perform the task work together.
  • Music works to improve a variety of goals:
    • Music therapy can work on numerous goals simultaneously to achieve results. Goal areas can include social, emotional, physical, cognitive, behavioral, and sensory domains. Music therapy can help reinforce and achieve goals worked on in conjunction with other therapies as well.
